This document is the Final Activity Report of the EU research project CASBliP. In this document we present the CASBliP project and its achievements in the wider context of the Strategic Objective -Cognitive Systems- of the IST work programmed in FP6. CASBliP project is a Specific targeted research project STREP that has been carried out between 1 of February 2006 and 31 of January 2009.

CASBliP project has been partially funded by the European Commission within the Sixth Framework Research Programme (FP6) under contract number IST-027063.

Seven partners from Spain (Universidad Politecnica de Valencia and Universidad de la Laguna), England (University of Bristol), Italy (Universita Politenica Delle Marche and Instituto dei Ciechi Francesco Cavazza) and Germany (Siemens and German Federation of the Blind and Partially Sighted) have investigated and developed a new system by using new technologies which lead an important improvement for the people with visual problems.
